Screen Shot Episode 2

Dr. Mike Wolmetz leads the Frontier Intelligence Systems program within the Research and Exploratory Development Mission Area at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). His program spans neurotechnologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, and complex systems with a mandate to connect dots across disciplines that traditional academic siloes cannot. Wolmetz holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from Johns Hopkins and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Yale.

In this wide-ranging conversation, Dr. Wolmetz and NeuroTalk host Linda Durnell, PhD, explore the frontier of human and machine intelligence – from the power efficiency gap between biological and artificial brains, to the new paradigms of human-machine teaming that will define the next decade. This episode is essential listening for researchers, investors, clinicians, and technologists navigating the convergence of neuroscience and AI.
